Death Metal band Decapitated arrested on suspicion of kidnapping

Polish death metal band Decapitated have been arrested in LA having been accused of holding a woman against her will in Spokane on 31st August.

All members of the band were arrested in Santa Ana, California, early on Saturday.

A woman reported to police just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 1 the alleged kidnapping by the band members, said Spokane Police Department spokeswoman Cpl. Teresa Fuller.

The band members 27-year-old Michal M. Lysejko, 35-year-old Waclaw J. Kieltyka, 31-year-old Rafal T. Piotrowski and 30-year-old Hubert E. Wiecek are being held in Los Angeles County Jail waiting for extradition to Spokane.

Steve Graham, a defence attorney representing the band said There is another side to this, we have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms.”He said he told police that the band members had offered to surrender but never heard anything back.

Grahams said

“I made it clear that I could get the guys up here ASAP and they would cooperate,”

He also raised concerns that the band would “languish” in jail for weeks until returned to Spokane, but indicated that the band are happy to return to Spokane willingly.
