Death Metal band Decapitated arrested on suspicion of kidnapping

Following on from yesterdays news that members of Polish death metal band Decapitated had been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, the band have now been accused of gang rape.

According to the Spokeman Review who obtained court papers saying that all four members were involved in the gang rape.

The alleged victim and a friend told police that they were invited onto the Decapitated tour bus for drinks.

One of the women “described being excited to be on the bus, and then one of the band members began grabbing her breasts,” court documents say. “He was later identified as the drummer, Michal Lysejko.”

The same woman “was uncomfortable and said the band members began speaking to each other in Polish,” court documents say. “She described the ‘vibe’ in the bus changed, and one of the members began looking at them like they were prey.”

The woman used the bathroom and was followed by lead singer Piotrowski, who began kissing her after she’d used the bathroom, as she resisted Piotrowski started to undo her belt. The woman then “attempted to push Piotrowski away but he grabbed her arm and spun her around to where she was facing the sink and mirror in the bathroom,” court documents say. “She saw in the mirror and out of the corner of her eye each of the band members taking turns raping her.”

The woman’s friend said she watched the band members rape the other woman.

The woman managed to report the rape later after her friend called her, the friend having been pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was taken to Providence Holy Family hospital where she was examined for a sexual assault.
It was noted by detectives that the woman had “significant bruising to her upper arms consistent with being restrained” and “small abrasions to her knuckles that were scabbed over.” During the rape, she said, she “was digging her fist into the wall to try and distract herself from what was happening.”

Band members were interviewed by detectives on Thursday.

Decapitated drummer Lysejko made no comment and said he would not talk without the use of a translator. Lead guitarist Kieltyka told the detectives he saw band mates Piotrowski and Wiecek engaged in sex acts with the woman in the bathroom. Kieltyka provided a DNA sample.

Piotrowski and Wiecek declined to give DNA samples. Piotrowski requested an attorney and translator after admitting there was a party on the bus and that the women were present. Wiecek said the he was sat on a couch and didn’t see what was going in. He also requested a translator before making any further comment
“admitted there was a party on the bus and (the women) were present. He then requested an attorney and a translator refusing to make any further statements,” court documents say. He declined to give a DNA sample.

The band are currently wait extradition to Spokane and are being held in Los Angeles County Jail.
Steve Graham, the attorney representing the band said “We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms,” he also said that  “Decapitated plan to fully fight the allegations that are brought against them, and we are fully confident that the other side of this story will be heard.”

He made no further comment.
